This book has become an instant classic in my house - not just because we all love the story, but because Stinkerton McPoo's family looks like mine. It's really hard to find representation in children's books, but simply in the background, without even being a plot point, we get to see folks like us. Can't wait for the next book in the series! They also love to color so this was a no brainer! It's the full-page scenes from the book in a nice big 8.5" x 11" format so there's plenty of space and detail for them to color with. They are having great fun comparing their finished versions to the original book. Most importantly, they have been quietly occupied for the last 2 hours!! :-) Great value coloring book and nice quality. You won't be disappointed. It’s very quickly become a new favourite in our house so it only made sense to pick up the colouring book as well. They were both really excited to see all the scenes from the book in a nice crisp black and white format, and they went to work colouring straight away. It’s also a nice touch that the pictures are each on their own page so the colours don’t bleed through if they are using pens. Definitely recommend it as a great accompaniment to the book!
