The other poems are pretty dumb and edgy compared to the few I liked. Maybe it's because I'm in my mid 20s now, but these aren't as meaningful and impactful as I would've liked and just thoughts I've heard somewhere else before. One is literally, "i am resistant to change, i'd rather eat ice, and cry on an airplane". What. Or "can you miss someone you never really knew". There were some topics in there that I wasn’t personally interested in so it kind of made me lose a little interest. There was not enough text or substance per page. Each page entirely was about 20-45 WORDS long. Some were even 5 to 10 words total… per a whole page. I have read all of Michaela’s previous work and have really enjoyed it. This collection is on a whole other level for me. I started reading it and by page 4 I was sobbing and I couldn’t put it down.
